Debt Consolidation help?
My husband and I have about 25K in debt including the pay-off of my car loan, and misc. doctor bills. I recently lost my job, and was wondering what my options would be. My husband makes just enough to cover all of our bills every month, but that leaves us with no money for groceries, gas, and extra expenses if they arise. We are looking to consolidate all of our bills into one payment.. we are willing to spend up to 1K a month for a loan, but cant seem to get one. I’ve tried Chase, where we’ve been banking for the past 6 years, lendingtree.com, and citi financial. We have decent credit (700 for the both of us), but we can’t seem to find any where to get a loan. I’ve been on prosper.com, but they arent accepting any new applications. We’ve lowered our cable and phone to the lowest possible plans, but still need the extra money to get by. If you have any ideas that can help, please let me know.
Also, we are on a budget, and have a child..
We do not own a house
Perhaps in your case you might consider even cutting off phone and cable and just use a pay as you go mobile for emergencies.
